Used the droid to track the lower sections of La Costa Hills.  This is a good area for beginner mountain bikers to start building their skills.

The one interesting part is I also detailed out the BMX / Jump Area

Rich sent me this email regarding the work on January 16th.  I put together a map to show where he is talking:

Greetings

The 16th of January at 8:00am on the grass at Corte Romero and Camino Junipero just off Rancho Santa Fe Rd in La Costa.  Moderate trail work will be in order and heavy trail work on NASCAR if I can get some of the local DHers who will bust it a little.  On Switchbacks and Vista Del Mar the usual braking ruts need to be addressed, as well as some of the turns and all the water features need to be cleaned out.  On Nascar a lot of tread work and water control is on tap. Some very large water bars with accompanying knicks have to be built on an old road at the top that we want to continue to grow back in to single track.

Chili will be on the burners and swag will be available for lunch.

Our key sponsor this year is El Camino Bike Shop. Also supporting us for working on North County’s most popular trail is Prana, Spy Optics, Rocky Mountain Bikes, Amazon Bikes and Squadra.

I hope to see a big turn out and continue the tradition of providing the most volunteer hours of any trail in San Diego. The volunteer hours from people such as yourselves have propelled Mtn Bikers into a level of credibility that is making our voices heard all over the county. SDMBA is really on a roll thanks to you.

Help me out, keep up the momentum. See you there. RSVP to  rich@sdmba.com to give me an idea of how many tools to have.

Thanks Rich

Chris got a camera hooked up to the front of his Mtn Bike and decided to do one last ride down NASCAR  Here is the trail he went down.

Just playing with my technology

I ran around the perimeter of the greater La Costa Hill Open Space area. This is the post to give to your friends to have a basic understanding of the access/parking areas of the trails.
